The Stax SR-507 Thread
I've actually been thinking of the same setup as pixelcity's for the last few months, only difference is that I'll probably get them from a Canadian dealer, whom told me I'll get some warranty. I'm just a bit worried about the channel imbalances which seem to plague electrostats. Is it a...- Miracles

Sennheiser HD650 & Massdrop HD6XX Impressions Thread
Thanks for the link. I'm actually in Canada, and it says they cannot ship to my address. I could probably hit up Sennheiser Canada for a replacement stock cable, but I just wanted to see what's out there other than the stock cable. Ideally I'm looking for something that's less than $50. So far...- Miracles

Sennheiser HD650 & Massdrop HD6XX Impressions Thread
Has anyone here bought any HD650 cables from ebay? My stock cable is starting to wear out at the ends. I'm just looking for ones that are well built, sturdy, and are made from nice material. Also relatively cheap. I'm seeing some of them are under $50 (some from China, some from the USA), and I...- Miracles

LP-2020A+ Lepai with?
If you want the Dayton B652's, solen.ca has them for $40. In an email they told me its from the good batch (not the bad batch that plagued the earlier months this year). I didn't buy from them, so I don't know what shipping and their service is like, but its worth a try.- Miracles

Recommend small 2 speaker setup
If you're in the US, from time to time Amazon.com has the BS22's (I have them, I think they're really good for its price, although I got them at a higher price) on sale, usually $79.99 or $89.99 compared to its normal ~$120. I think the last time this happened was a week or two ago. So if you're...- Miracles

Schiit Lyr Tube Rollers
I didn't swap the tubes over, but what I did was took them both off, blew some air, and plugged them back in. Now the problem is gone. I guess there was just some dust or something like that. Thanks for your help though.- Miracles

Schiit Lyr Tube Rollers
So while I'm waiting for new tubes to come in, I stuck back some stock Lyr tubes (GE 6BZ7) in. They have only been used for about 100 hours. Every time I turn the volume knob (no music playing, headphones plugged in), I can hear a slight "screech"-like noise on the left side. It also happens...- Miracles

Good Desktop Speakers?
The Pioneer BS22 is a $100 bookshelf speaker that sounds really good IMO. Pair that with a decent and cheap T-amp (Indeed TA2021 or a Topping TP21 for example) and you have a really nice setup. There's better options for your budget, but if you ever need a cheaper pair with a cheap amp, there...- Miracles

Dream setup - How does this sound?
I don't own any of that setup, but I'm sure its going to sound absolutely amazing. Congrats on the setup. You should check out innerfidelity's review on the 009's with a variety of end game amps here if you haven't already.- Miracles

The Entry Level Stax Thread
Sweet! The SR 507 on staxusa.com went down to $925 from the $1000+ they were before... really thinking of getting one as my first electrostat headphones. I'm upgrading from a HD650 with a Lyr/Bifrost, I'm looking towards the 407 or 507 (400 dollar difference??) as well as a amp for them...- Miracles

King Sound Emperor: New Electrostatic Headphones!
So I just went to Moon-Audio's page to look at the specs again and I found that the price for the headphones are now $625. Add solid state amp total is still $1000, so I guess only difference is that if you buy the cans by itself its now $125 more. Considering the initial impressions it looks...- Miracles
