Solar chargers
I'll be spending a lot of time out of town this summer, and I can't give up my music. Is there any decent solar chargers out there? I need something to charge a Cowon s9 and also my mobile phone. So something with a USB port and around 4000-5000mah? Something that will charge in 8 hours or...- limpmeat

WHICH COWON PRODUCT HAS THE BEST SOUND QUALITY ?
I love my S9, I do not love the proprietary USB slot :( I keep losing cables, and you can't find these anywhere in Australia.- limpmeat

30 years of CDs
I wonder what's next for physical music formats? I haven't owned a CD player in a decade.- limpmeat

stereo subwoofers
A lot of audio engineers and studio designers say more subs are better. Not for SPL purposes, but to even out room modes and cause less acoustic problems in the room.- limpmeat

If you still love Etymotic ER4, this is the thread for you...
I love mine. I just upgraded to a westone ES cable with the adaptors off ebay. Since I had some custom molds made by ACS they have been super comfortable, but they protruded a lot from the ear. This made them hugely microphonic and annoying to use. With the new cable run over the...- limpmeat

Denon D2000 problem.......
I wasn't trying to get them to send a replacement driver for free, I was trying to buy one through their spare parts division. The person I spoke to said they can supply pretty much every other part of the headphone as a spare. Oh well, I guess I'll bite the bullet and send them back to HK.- limpmeat

Denon D2000 problem.......
I stopped myself from tinkering with them. I wanted to check first to see if I could get a replacement driver from Denon, thought it might be cheaper/faster than the return registered post to Hong Kong to get them replaced/refunded (I bought them through ebay, I didn't think about international...- limpmeat

Denon D2000 problem.......
So, I opened up the earpiece. The soldering looks a bit dodgy, but i've seen worse. On the pic above (not mine) it shows where the cables are soldered to the driver terminal. Before resoldering anything I want to check continuity, should the outer 2 pads (where the cables are...- limpmeat

Denon D2000 problem.......
I thought about the tinkering cancelling the warranty. I'll see how I go disassembling it later tonight, maybe i'll chicken out :) I don't know too much about speakers/drivers. I kinda thought when they go, they go. Not have intermittent problems. Is this right?- limpmeat

Denon D2000 problem.......
Thanks for your suggestion. I thought it could be the 1/4" adapter, so I took it off and plugged into a 1/8" out on my MP3 player, and the right channel still has the same problem- limpmeat

Denon D2000 problem.......
I just received a pair of Denon D2000s after waiting a month on backorder. These headphones are just what I was looking for, great sound, very comfortable. Unfortunately they developed a problem after a few hours use. The right driver cuts in and out, for a few minutes at a time...- limpmeat

Denon D2000/D5000, MD2000/MD5000 Thread!
I ordered a pair of 2000s a few weeks ago. Kinda annoying as i paid $40 for fedex delivery, thought I'd have them a lot sooner. (geez, first world problems!) The store (that has a warehouse in HK) says new stock is expected on Nov 1st.- limpmeat
