Philips Fidelio X3
Yep, they will change over time. I've heard a couple of reviewers say that the X3's are less dynamic than the X2's when it comes to drum hits and what-not, and I'd be interested to hear your opinion. " It mostly is 'liquid' (God, I hate that word...." Be careful with using the God's name in...- KZEE

Philips Fidelio X3
Dang, if the X3's are lacking in dynamics then that's a deal breaker for me because dynamics and PRaT are what I value most in music playback equipment. The thing that I like most about the X2's is their dynamics, but like I've said their excess treble energy fatigues me after a while. Hopefully...- KZEE

Yep, he was somewhat vague on sound quality. But I do appreciate his review.- KZEE

Philips Fidelio X3
Thanks for clarifying. I've got a pair of Sivga Phoenix cans on order, and if those don't work out then I'll probably order up a pair of X3's.- KZEE

Philips Fidelio X3
I wish the reviewer would have said more about the treble region of the X3's. I owned a pair of X2HR's and loved their PRaT and how good they sounded and would have happily lived with them as my daily drivers, but there was too much energy in the treble region so I got rid of them. I think it...- KZEE

WA3 Transformer Hum
I've got a Woo Audio WA3-based custom made preamp, and the other day I noticed that there was a bit of a transformer hum coming from the unit. I discovered the hum by accident... I bent down to pick something up by my equipment rack, and my while I was bent over my head was really close to the...- KZEE

My Experience! Little dot MK iii ebay purchase from hifikanon
I have to laugh at the people that are chiding the poster for being impatient and for making his concerns about his dealings with hifikanon public... it's that type of enabling attitude that allowed Singlepower to do so much damage to the participants of Head-Fi. So thank you counterpoint...- KZEE

OTL or not OTL (That's the question)
There are great sounding examples of both transformer and OTL amps available on the market, so I wouldn't get too hung up about it. I also wouldn't get too hung up on whether an OTL amp will cook your headphones - although I'm sure it has at some point happened, I can't recall anyone ever...- KZEE

Which Woo for Senn HD650s? WA6 or WA+3?
In regard to the 3+ being able to drive HD 650's, I owned a 3+ and it had no problem what-so-ever driving 580's/600's/650's. IMO Senn 580's/600's/650's and the 3+ were made for each other.- KZEE

Newbie: Woo3 or Woo3+ for HD650
The basic difference between the 3 and the 3+ is that the 3+ has it's input tubes wired in parallel for more power and a better impedance match. The 3 has preamp capabilities, the 3+ does not. If you aren't going to be using your headamp as a preamp, then go with the 3+.- KZEE
