    Well firstly this is not a true iem.  The sound is about as great as one could get from an earbud.  In my limited experience and without trying the pk1, I would say these are the finest buds you can buy.  With that said, these are not for everyone, this is a niche product within an already niche...

    Hey if you ordered your u18 through grant fidelity, did you spend the 75 bucks for the extra power cable? Or, do you just use the USB and save the cash?

    Yes my signal can be questionable at times and it drives me crazy! At the moment I am running optical to my MacBook as a CD player/spotify premium source. I want to get the u18 next for the same reasons you mentioned. I have a balanced cable and some xlrs in the mail I'm excited about so next...

    hey guys, So I am excited about my new yuin ok1 to arrive in the mail, these earphones will be my portable option.  For a portable amp I have a d2 boa or a d12 anaconda to choose from.  Are these buds going to benefit from these portable units power or are they lacking?
