Sennheiser HD 598's or AT ATH-AD900's - Huge Genre Variety
I actually think the ad900x has sufficient bass for the artists you mentioned, i just got mine pair and they are performing quite wonderfully- Ironandwine

Recommendation for open back headphones?
heya just to update i went ahead and got the ad900x after doing some more research and trying it along with the X1 and HD600. They all sounded great but the thing that won me over was the comfort of the audio technica (plus they were the cheapest), they are really light! anyways im just starting...- Ironandwine

cool thanks for the replies.. the hd600 is in the upper end of my spectrum even used, plus i have to wait for one to go on sale so its not too ideal. Have you gotten for X1??- Ironandwine

Replacement cable for AKG K545s?
Hey guys, Does anybody know if there are after market cables available for the K545s? I'd like to replace the stock ones with a sturdier cable.. not too sure on the dimensions of the stock one though- Ironandwine

Hi all, I'm new to this forum and new to headphones in general as well. Was just wondering if there are any guides out there that sort headphones (or sounds) according to the genre they are suitable for?
