I was wondering this today, i was thinking about how much praise AKG discontinued headphones get, K501, K601,K1000, even K240 Sextetts. And I thought ,"wait why would they discontinue their best?   Hi everyone,wanted to ask is the K601 discontined by AKG as well?Thanks

My K501 is the one with 3 long openings and 4 short openings,does it mean it is the bass heavy version?i only know mine might be the first version that came out according to the check on the different versions of K501 thread

Hi,want to ask a question..do the K501 have the ring foams inside like the K601,K701??   Because the one that i gotten does not have the thin foam like my 601 and 701,thanks thanks   I would say that the K501 have just enough bass for classical music after just hearing them for 1 hour...
