Could someone explain to me what Bass Distortion is?

My dt880s just came in and when I first put them on I was blown away. They sound pretty damn good. My HD 555s just sound so flat and neutral compared to these. The ear pads are extremely comfortable. Not quite as comfortable as the 555s but almost there! Fits a lot better than the AD900x's. But...

Will a Creative Sound Blaster Z drive these alright?

Has anyone compared the AD900x to the AD1000x? I might as well just go for the AD1000x since it was in my original budged if imported from Japan.

Just emailed Audio-Technica asking if they could fix a broken AD900X from Japan. They said they could. So I assume they can fix all of the AD series. Brb saving my wallet.
