Audio Technica updates their open headphones "AD" Series: AD2000x, AD1000x, AD900x, AD700x and AD500x
So after a couple months I finally decided to try on the AD900x's again before I sell and for some reason they don't hurt my ear anymore. Which was the only reason I was planning on selling them in the first place. I have been using the DT880s for about two months now and like the sound they...- iGREASE

My dt880s just came in and when I first put them on I was blown away. They sound pretty damn good. My HD 555s just sound so flat and neutral compared to these. The ear pads are extremely comfortable. Not quite as comfortable as the 555s but almost there! Fits a lot better than the AD900x's. But...- iGREASE

Quote: I think it was just the pads touching the ears is what makes them uncomfortable for me. Sure the pads on the AD900x are soft but like I said, they touch my ears and cause me to get a headache for unknown reasons. My 555s don't touch them at all.- iGREASE

Audio Technica updates their open headphones "AD" Series: AD2000x, AD1000x, AD900x, AD700x and AD500x
So after listening for about 7 hours total with my new AD900x and Sound Blaster Z card it is quite a step up from the HD555s and on-board audio. The only issue is that I can't wear these for more than 30 minutes without getting a headache. While the bottom part of my ear feels "alright" it just...- iGREASE

Sound card help.
I have been looking around for a soundcard after I learned that DACs turn everything into stereo which isn't too great for gaming. Would it be better to get something like the Xonar DG or DGX + Magni? Or would I be better off getting a a more expensive soundcard with a built in amp. My budget...- iGREASE

Sennheiser HD 598 Impressions Thread
So I may be purchasing some 598s soon and I am wondering what amp to get. I am currently running my audio off of my asus motherboard. Would I need to get a soundcard first before I use a amp? My budget would be around $100, $120 max. Thanks.- iGREASE
