I got the focus pads (not focus a) a few days ago and think they are pretty terrible on the He-500. I don't know how it's changing the sound so much but it really muffles everything for me. Originally I was worried something was wrong with my headphones or amp but then I switched the pads back...

Going back to the leaving the DAC on or off question... someone said it shouldn't draw much power if you leave it on. My Bifrost runs pretty hot if I leave it on all the time. Is that typical for other people?

Some of the comments in this thread have me wondering if something is wrong with my mad dogs. I really like them and use them at work often where I need something closed but at home I would never choose them over my He-400s.

My e17 is connected to my PC (Windows 7) by usb and everytime the computer wakes from sleep mode it outputs 1-2 seconds of loud noise (like white noise) through the headphone out and line out. Does anyone else have this problem?
