    Got some Industrial music?

Try Wumpscut. he is really good. Mortiis is also good. His later albums are more industrial than metal, the guy is cool.

Static electricity zapping USB dac problem

At my office we have a static electricity problem. Whenever you walk around for a while you get charged and zap whatever you happen to touch. It also occurs just sitting at my desk, once in a while I can make nice long sparks fly from my fingertips. The problem is that my USB dac stops...

BEYERDYNAMIC CONTEST FOR THE NATIONAL MEET!

It would be an honor to represent Beyerdynamic at Head-Fi's first National Meet. I have owned many Beyerdynamic headphones through the years, everything from the famous DT 48 (which is a modified version of the first DT 48 introduced almost 70 years ago) to the DT 990 PRO as well as many others...

    Remanufactured Ink Cartridges

I've never refilled a liquid ink cartridge. But I have been refilling the toner cartridge on my laser printer the last couple years. It is extremely easy, costs about $10 for toner to refill the cartridge two times and I've had absolutely no problems. And laser toner cartridges cost a fortune...

Hook Up wire, does the gauge matter?

What is the Saddest song ever written?

Lars Demian - Fyllot & Miss World Story about a drunk freezing to death in the gutter. And for the saddest/gloomiest band overall I nominate My Dying Bride. Both for their name and their music.

    Tascam portable cd

Has anyone tried one of these Tascam portable cd players? They make decent gear so it could be pretty good. Thought it may be interesting for the portable cd freaks here. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...&category=7266 edit. I just read the owners manual for the bass player...

    PICS! Headamp No.4

Jeffreyj: Thanks for that info. The shield is there to shield from electromagnetic fields. I suspected it needed to be continuos. Maybe I'll get a longer strip and solder it together.

    PICS! Headamp No.4

The cap that blew was a 470uF, 25V cerafine. A little cap, but the explosion was spectacular, loud bang and lots of smoke. It was positioned undeneath the pcb so the liquid was well contained. The shield is 'just in case' I didn't realize how close the tranny would be to the inputs until I...

    PICS! Headamp No.4

I op-amp rolled in ad843's this morning. Wow! Much better. The opa637's sound restrained and unlively in comparison. It definately sounds better than my old meta42 now. Budgie: The pot is a Penny & Giles 100k audio pot. I pulled it from a Mod squad passive preamp that I'm not using anymore...

    PICS! Headamp No.4

Finally finished building my fourth headphone amp! It's a multiloop amp with opa637 input and el2009 output stage, and a great dual ps that Voodoochile made. I had some 'amusing' mishaps while building it, first time I tried it, it didn't work (or so I thought) all I got was horribly...

    Unidentified metal object of doom

The outside looks exactly like a load cell! But it's rather huge for a load cell.
