Has anyone tried one of these Tascam portable cd players?
They make decent gear so it could be pretty good.

Thought it may be interesting for the portable cd freaks here.

edit. I just read the owners manual for the bass player version of the cd, it has an advanced 5 band equalizer.

The Bass trainer model (CD-BT1) appears to have the 5-band EQ for the bass *input*. Still, it appears that the bass model has several bass enhancement modes for CD playback.

They look like the portable Marantz players for professional musicians (except that those have a digital out). It would be interesting to check this players out.

I remember reading about these on another board. Other than the high output power, they're nothing special sound-wise.
