Phonak PFE: Have you ever tried to clean the filters?
Has anybody ever tried to clean the filters of the Phonak PFE phones? Maybe with a tiny brush, or using some alcohol or alike? I know there are replacement filters available but I hesitate to dispose something just because it may have caught some dirt, without at least having tried a cleaning...- FRAC

Phonak Audeo (PFE) Thread
Finally got my Phonaks. No Umpf! No Wow! Just crystal clear sound. And lot's of stuff in the music I never had heard before . So far I prefer the gray filters, so I seem to belong to a minority. There's one question I have for experienced Phonak owners: How often should I change the sound...- FRAC

Phonak Audeo Defect Thread
@Dhraakellian: Congrats that you finally got your replacements! And thanks for your report. I have 2 questions though: Do the replacements look different than the broken ones? I mean: Can one see that the housing got reinforced and the cables are more robust? And, most importantly: Do the v2s...- FRAC

Beyerdynamic dtx 100 - how good are they really?
A bit further research resulted in the impression that the Westone UM-1 may fit my needs well - any thoughts? Maybe someone knows both the DTX-100 and the UM-1 and give a comparison? FRAC- FRAC

Beyerdynamic dtx 100 - how good are they really?
The DTX-100 seem to be pretty new, I found only few reviews so far - and those tell quite different stories. From "wow, best you can get for the money" through "not that great", from "clean, flawless sound with good bass" through "slightly booming basses which only disco kids will like" - I...- FRAC

Sennheiser CX-300 II sound dull on a Samsung YP-P3 player
The Sennheiser CX-300 II in-ears are said to be reasonable headphones for an quite attractive price. I tried them on my Samsung YP-P3 player and found they produce an extremely hollow sound. I've switch off all sound enhancement features of the player and set the equalizer completely flat. That...- FRAC
