What's one CD ever Head-Fi member should listen to that they probably have never heard of?

I gotta go with...   Umphreys' McGee - Local Band Does O.K.   http://www.amazon.com/Local-Band-Does-Umphreys-Mcgee/dp/B00019PDX4/ref=ntt_mus_ep_dpi_7

    Can't decide/advice for audio newbie.

80-ohms might be okay, but will sound a bit muted. So I wouldn't see the 250 version as an option. Keep in mind these are really big cans, so good at work, mobile not so good. They are in my top three in comfort, so these do sound like what you want sonically and comfort, but be sure they fit...

Will you use these at home/mobile? What are you running it off of?

    Beyerdynamic DT-770 80 ohm v. DT-770 250 ohm v. DT-770 LE 32 ohm

I can only speak on the 80ohm version. Fantastic with an amp, great for techno, etc. They sound great, but $230 is much higher than what I paid for mine. These cans go up and down on price, so if you don't mind waiting you can get them cheaper (check the used forum).   I use contact lenses...

What headphones are you currently rocking?

    Kill The Noise, MisterX HPDAC>DT-770.

Audio Technica ATH-M50S way to go?

I agree with the dt-770 recommendations. Very comfortable, great sound, awesome bass. But they sound better amped. Not truly necessary (my phone gets solid sound), but a consideration.

Trying to decide on some full size headphones for at home.

DT-770. I needed a pair of bassy cans and they really rattle my skull at times. Plus they sound nice beyond the bass.

Audio Technica ATH-M50S way to go?

If you can get them at a good price then it's a good investment. Beats are overpriced and if you have that kind of money to spend you can do better. What is your price range?

Which are more comfortable HD-280's or DT-770's?

In terms of comfort, the Beyers are tops. I've owned a lot of headphones and they are the most comfortable cans by a good bit. Sennheiser doesn't skimp on a good feel , but go with a pair of Beyers if you want comfort and sound.

are expensive headphones really worth it?

It all come down to how often you will use headphones. I know a lot of people that only use speakers because they like to feel bass. I am at a 50/50 mix myself. I tell people it's like buying a nice big screen TV. If you watch a lot of TV it's a smart move, but don't waste the money if you don't...

Ears hurt from listening even at low volumes

http://www.ehow.com/how-does_5665608_ear-ache-caused-earphones.html   Sounds like a medical issue. Maybe see an ear specialist? I can wear headphones for hours on end, and even at higher volumes I have little to no pain/fatigue.

Seeking trade: My Senn HD25-1 ii, your Beyer or Ultrasone

My bad, wrong forum. Can I change this or is there a delete option?

Seeking trade: My Senn HD25-1 ii, your Beyer or Ultrasone

I love my HD 25-1 ii. They are amazing portable cans, but my musical interests as of late is bass heavy rock and techo. I am seeking a trade for a pair of Ultrasones or Beyers. Used these retail in the $150 range, so I would like something close and can do +/- on cash.   I have old school...

Do Multiple Amazon Seller = Multiple Credit Card Transactions?

For text books, Amazon usually sells them through a 3rd party. Now I went to college in 00-04, but my bill 'then' was for the individual 3rd party companies. Unless they changed it, that's what I would expect.

Do Multiple Amazon Seller = Multiple Credit Card Transactions?

When you do your checkout, it should display the individual transactions in terms of what you are buying, and when you will receive your books. But, this might not matter. If Amazon is the seller, it's one transaction. If you are buying from a 3rd party seller, this will in fact be multiple...
