Incremental Review (completed) - Nuforce uDac-2
Fantastic comparison bcwang. And most importantly, after making a help request thread (which bricked and sank with no one offering any replies) your suggestion regarding settings with Asio4all FINALLY enabled me to get it to work with my udac-2!! Can't thank you enough. The improvement is...- FlurkingShnit

Totally insane quality for a totally insane price.....The Etymotic mc5 mini review.
Quote: Hey Maestro, I can definitely vouch for the somewhat high degree of difficulty my sources have driving the mc5s. They were fine using my FiiO E7 or my udac-2 but coming straight out of my laptop, Blackberry, and 1st gen ipod nano they were unable to get to a decent volume...- FlurkingShnit

FIRST IMPRESSIONS: NEW Nuforce uDAC-2 with 24/96 - USB DAC AMP with line out and S/PDIF out
That's funny. I run a similar setup with my Dell e6400 laptop and when I run the udac-2 with my ety 4ps with S cable I hear no noise at all. As long as I plug in my headphones with the unit turned off and then turn it on it's completely silent. Out of curiosity, I tried switching out headphones...- FlurkingShnit

Totally insane quality for a totally insane price.....The Etymotic mc5 mini review.
I just recently got a pair of these myself and am amazed at the quality of sound. I'm driving them with the uDAC-2 out of my laptop and it's wonderful. Can't wait to do a comparison to my er-4p's when I get them back from Etymotics.- FlurkingShnit

Quote: I got a FiiO E7 and was using it for a few days and was mostly pleased with it, but before I knew it the upgrade bug hit me again and I got the udac2. The E7 has a lot going for it with the screen and form factor and portability should you ever want to use it away from your...- FlurkingShnit

Problem using Asio4All with nuforce udac-2
Hey guys, Just received my Udac-2 from debitsohn (thanks again man!) and have hooked it up to my laptop and when trying to use it with Asio4all in Foobar2000 I'm not getting any sound output. I uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin and software and I followed the instructions in the...- FlurkingShnit

Quote: I bought a replacement cable from xin feng's website (whatever happened to that guy? I'd love to have a supermini IV!) and used it for a while but for some reason that escapes me, I ended up switching back to the the original. Don't think I'll be replacing the cable again this...- FlurkingShnit

Quote: I personally don't think it's necessary to boost the bass on the MC5's at all. Then again I haven't been a "basshead" like that since high school. It's up to your personal preference, but you definitely wouldn't damage them by employing bass boost (unless perhaps you pushed them...- FlurkingShnit

Count me as another very impressed user of these IEMs. I owned the er-4p's for years but stopped using them for a while when the cables became damaged through normal wear and tear. I went to different IEMs over the years (Denons mostly) but ended getting these when my prior Denons stopped...- FlurkingShnit

El-P: Weareallgoingtoburninhellmegamixxx3
http://www.el-p-weareallgoingtoburninhell.com/ Based on a quick search I know there are at least a few El-P fans on this board and I didn't see a thread about this album already so I figured I'd share. He released this album on Aug 3rd and it's an all instrumental collection of rare and...- FlurkingShnit

Kind of Bloop: An 8-bit tribute to Miles Davis
http://kindofbloop.com/ Not sure if this has been posted before. Basically, it's Miles Davis' Kind of Blue album reimagined as 8-bit music (think of the music soundtracks for your old NES, Amiga, C-64 games). It may be considered blasphemous by some, but I have to say that I'm quite...- FlurkingShnit
