  I have the same tube. Mine hums in my Darkvoice336i only when paired with particular power tubes. I have a short bottle one that hums with the opposite power tubes. I'm not sure if this is a documented phenomenon or just a weird coincidence.    Tall bottle hums with RCA and Svetlana 6AS7Gs...

The Element will drive the Sennheisers easily.

I would assume a NiMH charger is a NiMH charger and the batteries are built to be charged by them. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks to everyone for their suggestions. I have some buying and trying to do!

I guess I should've asked this in the original post. Has anyone tried out the AKG DJ181? Any headphone with a Bassboost switch rouses suspicion in my mind.
