Momentum VS D5000 - FIGHT!
I think you shouldn't be really comparing these two cans because when an audiophile buys a Momentum, he wants something on the go which has good sound isolation, no sound leak, small, etc. But while Denon claims that Dx000 series are closed, they are really half open. You can't really use them...- deaffob

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (24-bit/192KHz)

Your IEMs have 32ohm which is unusual for portable cans. i9505 causes unbearable sounds with low impedance cans.- deaffob

US Samsung Galaxy S4
I'm still wondering why there is such a massive difference between HTC One and i9505. Technically they have same DAC and HTC One has a discrete amp on it so I don't understand gsmarena's result.- deaffob

Quote: I don't know where you heard that but that's completely the opposite of what Supercurio said on his twitter. He already stated that Galaxy S original's Wolfson(WM8994) has better SQ than the Wolfson in S3 or Note 2(WM1811). He confirmed that technically i9500's Wolfson(WM5102)...- deaffob

Wolfson DAC smart phones
Quote: I didn't know the Tegra 2 SoC came with Wolfson. I looked up LG Optimus 2x and this one came with the same DAC as the original Galaxy S, WM8994. If OP was just looking for the cheapest Wolfson, the first Galaxy S is still the best option.- deaffob

i9505's crosstalk value is amazing. I was going to get i9500 somehow but it's tempting to just go with i9505. I heard that even Supercurio confirmed that i9505 is better. I don't know if it's true though.- deaffob

US Samsung Galaxy S4
Quote: I'm quite surprised that i9505 has much better stereo crosstalk value. It has much better value than i9500 with Wolfson DAC. What's more interesting is that the SQ of i9505 is noticeably better than HTC One which has the same Snapdragon 600 SoC. I guess Samsung must have done...- deaffob

Wolfson DAC smart phones
Only Exynos SoCs have Wolfson DAC. This means global version of S3 and S4 or Galaxy Note 2. If you are looking for cheap Wolfson android you should get Galaxy S, the first one. It actually had the better Wolfson than Exynos 4, confirmed by Supercurio. New Exynos 5 Octa that would be in the...- deaffob

Closed-ear library use/walking around headphones, <$500
I can confirm that K550 isolates well enough to be used in the library. But I carry T5p to the library. :-) K550 is an amazing choice, you get T5p like sound with only quarter of the price. I've heard some good stuff about the momentous. I think you should audition both.- deaffob

Holy crap these are really hurting headphones. I like the sound so far but these cans really do hurt my ears, especially tip of the ears. Has anyone returned these because of this problem?- deaffob

I just got mine today. They shipped on last Friday. I live in NYC. I was initially disappointed of its artificial sounding mids but I should give a little more time. I shouldn't really compare these to $1500 headphones. :D- deaffob
