I was looking to find an adapter so I can use my v-moda boom Pro mic with the headphones to game with. I was hoping to buy the hd58x, but I don't want to do that until I know I can use my old 558 to game with. Thanks for any help.

Any advice to make the headband more comfortable? Kind of hurts sitting right on the top of my head, unlike my Sennheiser 558's. Was thinking maybe a universal headband replacement...thing. Any recommendations?

No, I can hear the audio of whatever the input is, but it is extremely distorted and behind static.

I didn't change anything and now it suddenly sounds like a really static radio station that comes from all 6 speakers from all inputs. I have a Yamaha receiver. I have no idea what to do, any help would be greatly appreciated, in the meantime, I can't do anything involved with the tv.

Are there any options when it comes to getting custom cables for headphones? I just broke my stock adapter to my Sennheiser hd595's and I wouldn't mind just having a new cord altogether. They are 3 meters for some reason, and use 1/4 connector for no reason. I would love to have a shorter...

So back when I got these, there weren't many options as far as the extremely large cord with adapter went, has anything changed? I would love to get a shorter, coiled cable. Anyways, I broke the adapter running into it at my pc since it sticks out so dang far. What are my best options here...

I would be using them mostly with an ipod.   That sucks about the sound though, I was set on these. I love the looks(this is a big factor), and I love sennheiser. I don't listen to much music in public, but between that and the cable, maybe I should look for others, I just don't know.

hmmm, I really wish there was some kind of video that showed how loud these and similar headphones are from the outside.   Any chance you can find that thread?
