New Beyer DT1350
Quote: You should try the 4A. The bass jumps quite a bit from the 4Ai to the 4A. Of course thats due to the perfect sealing of the ear canal. For me this was a problem initially cos I prefered less bass.- Crenshaw

New Beyer DT1350
Quote: The stuff below is just my own opinion, YMMV :) If I had to make a choice I would go with the DT1350. For metal, especially really fast stuff like Dragonforce I find it keeps up with the music well. If you listen to the tremolo at the beginning of Hotel California from The...- Crenshaw

New Beyer DT1350
I Have tested both of these very extensively on a few different set ups. You will be disappointed with neither. the differences: The hd-25 is more sparkly, which CAN border on sibilance if you're sensitive to it. The 1350 is also quite bright though. The bass extends further on the...- Crenshaw

Best portable headphone? What do you think?
oh yes... forgot the dt1350s are kinda expensive. you do get copious amounts of sub bass from it though.. more than the hd-25ii at 20hz... this is from my testing with a tone generator. i find that the hd-25ii have a slightly brighter overall sound with more midbass compared to the dt1350. we're...- Crenshaw

BLIND TEST: 128kbps mp3 vs Lossless
yay I got it right, out of my Crappy headphone out on my laptop. Maybe it would have been more apparent with a dedicated DAC and amp. I was surprised at the lack of stark contrast. I know 320 and Lossless are very very very similar, but I have heard 128bit tracks that sound absolute crap...- Crenshaw

The Deflavorizing Machine by Steve Guttenberg, Stereophile March 2012
this is partially why I love listening to well recorded live performances. Loreena McKennitt in particular, is more interesting on her live albums, at least to me. -
Best portable headphone? What do you think?
dont get the T50P they are the predeccessor to the DT1350. They may suit your needs, but the DT1350 has better balance, and is aparantly built better than the T50P. They also cost around the same price i think. The DT1350s are very detailed and some would say analytical, may not be what you're...- Crenshaw
