FiiO E6 - story of the tiny amp continues... (w/ review on 1st page)
IMO the HD 25 sound good even unamped. I used to carry around the mini3 and i felt it sounded a bit better but I ended up selling the mini3 anyways. The size of the e6 is just so appealing for its portability. A lot less obtrusive than the mini3 or any other cmoys. Quote:- cptindustry

Best Headphones for ~$50
AD700s are open, so there will be leakage and you will end up disturbing your roommate. Sony v6 are good closed cans that go for under 50 if you can find them refurbed.- cptindustry

Simple amp for DT880 600Ohm ($300-350 ish)
+1 on the E7/E9. Especially since you'll be going away from home. They sound great on my laptop with the dt880s.- cptindustry

What are the bassiest analytical headphones in the market?
If price isn't a big issue then definitely get the hd25. Also a big plus if you're going portable. I find the hd25 to be a lot of fun and very easy to listen to. The M50 are a little more laid back. Quote:- cptindustry

What are the bassiest analytical headphones in the market?
LCD-2 is way out of your range as well and should definitely be taken off your list. You may want to try Beyers, dt770 and 990 are known to have good bass.- cptindustry

HD 600 driven by Mini 3 amp( high performance edition)???
I've tried the the e9 and the mini3 on hd 600s and 650s. The e9 works better but like a poster above mentioned, they are far from portable. To answer the op's question, yes the mini3 will drive the 600s decently but not to it's full potential. Still they sounded pretty good to me. If you MUST...- cptindustry

FiiO E9 Review
Amazon currently has the e9 new for $92. Seems like a steal at this price. http://www.amazon.com/FiiO-Desktop-Headphone-Amplifier-Dock/dp/B004M172FY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1311983887&sr=8-1- cptindustry
