If you still love Etymotic ER4, this is the thread for you...

What exactly is known on the differences between the old grey triflanges and the new, 'transparent' ones? The thing is, that while my old ER4-PTs were still working, I bought a few packs of the grey ones just to have them whenever I need them. Now, while the ER4-SRs sound absolutely phenomenal...

Alright, thanks for all your replies, i think I've finally settled on buying an ER4-SR :D    Only one question left: Does anyone here live in Europe and know how I can use the Etymotic-upgrade program without spending all the money I could save with that option on shipping? Because If there is...

If you still love Etymotic ER4, this is the thread for you...

I would like one more clarification concerning the new models: I've compared the frequency response curves of my ER-4PTs to the curves of the new ER4-XR and ER4-SR, and I've noticed that, in fact, the frequency reponse curve of the ER4-SR is basically the same curve as the one of my PTs...

Nope. No pre-amp or the likes, either (using an iPod mainly)

Dear all,   after around 5 years using the ER-4PT, the time has come for an upgrade, and I would very much like to keep using Etymotics, as I've enjoyed them so much over the past few years. However, I really can't decide whether to buy the XR or the SR; can anyone give me some comparison of...

[REVIEW] Etymotic HF5 or the ER-4S?

I, too use the large triple-flanges. what i was trying to say is the following: when i listen to music, i hear everything perfectly clear and, depending on the song (for instance listening to zero-sum by nine inch nails), i hear a great bass emerging from the phones. therefore, i assume that...

[REVIEW] Etymotic HF5 or the ER-4S?

well planx, i owe you a big THANK YOU because it was this thread that finally made me decide to just stop thinking about it - and finally buy the ety-4ps. now, i absolutely LOVE their sound and, as written in all user revies, i hear certain details in songs that i've been listening to for years...

[REVIEW] Etymotic HF5 or the ER-4S?

ok i have to revise my last statement: the er-4p's are nothing less of sensational. all is ABSOLUTELY to my liking, and though i still have to get accustomed to the new sound of certain songs (especially queens of the stone age 's guitars are very different), i can already say that the're worth...

[REVIEW] Etymotic HF5 or the ER-4S?

just listening for the first time to my newly arrived er-4PTs :) i do have to admit that i find the actual lack of bass-impact somewhat..surprising, otherwise i'm really deeply impressed with the clarity they offer. but i would say that as with all my previous IEMs, these too will take some...

[REVIEW] Etymotic HF5 or the ER-4S?

k guys, thanks very much for your replies, greatly appreciated. however, i've got an additional question because, depending on the source, one sort of gets different answers.. so: is an iPod (i myself own an iPod touch) actually good enough for the 4p's?

[REVIEW] Etymotic HF5 or the ER-4S?

hi guys! i have a quick question about the er-4p in-ears so here's the thing: recently, my sennheiser cx880 broke. that being said, now i'm looking for some new in-ears and i'm quite willing to perhaps spend a little more money on those if that means that i can REALLY enjoy the music. so lately...
