German Maestro GMP-435s - Any good for mixing?

I have ended up buying the Shure SRH940's! Lol. I got a really good deal on them so couldn't resist. I look forward to trying them out, and I'm sure it won't be the last set of cans I buy. Still wanting a set of open/semi open backs.

German Maestro GMP-435s - Any good for mixing?

How would you say the 435s stack up against the K702/HD600/DT880's?   I can get a pair of those 435s for £130 new. Which seems like a good deal compared to the DT880 at £185 and the K701 at £165

Quote: They must get recommended for a reason no? They can't be that bad can they? and open back vs closed is another preference thing, I wouldn't say it was a minus.

Quote:   Check out the Audio Technica ATH M50s can be had for around £100-£120 ebay has a few slightly cheaper, but sounds perfect for what you need. I am seriously considering them myself but am torn between those and the Beyerdynamic DT880 pro's but will cost about 85% more!!!
