Does anyone know if the UE6000's would benefir from an amp even though they have one built in? they dont really sound like they have one built in to begin with

Yamaha Pro 500's are 300-400 bucks, too much for me. They do sound ideal though. damn

These are Audio Technica ATHPRO700, not the ATHPRO700MK2's in case you didn't know, or I may be mistaken if they are really similar or whatever.

Hmm. I managed to find a guy who tried out both that I have narrowed it down to, and he said to skip both and get the Logitech UE6000 (Ultimate Ears). Will these really be better? With an amp too?

Will an amplifier make up for the recessed or lacking mids and highs in either of the two (Studio and 700mk2)? Or just improve bass?
