Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
Would you care to share any subjective listening notes characterizing the sonic changes switching between any of the amps on those setups? It sounds like you used to have mono Vidars driving your LS50s, but not entirely sure if that's what you were saying. Feel free to PM to me if you'd prefer...- BeyerMonster

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
Has anyone with Vidar/Aegir auditioned Tyr? I've got a set of bi-amped Magnepan 3.6Rs (Aegir/Vidar) and was contemplating Tyr or perhaps going dual Aegir.- BeyerMonster

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
Non-starter. I've got a drawer full of broken micro-USB cables and sockets and I'm pretty delicate on my gear. Then again, I'm probably not the target audience so you probably don't care.- BeyerMonster

The Koss ESP950 thread (ESP owners, please contribute! :)
Nope. The only things I leave on all the time are my Yggdrasil and Gumby. I guess it's sortof a break-in type thing. I did notice it happens less than it did before. I guess I'll just keep listening. Thanks!- BeyerMonster

The Koss ESP950 thread (ESP owners, please contribute! :)
I picked up my ESP/95X from Drop a few months back. I've noticed that they tend to have a sporadic crackling noise. This is my first set of estats, and I've glanced through the last few pages of the thread but haven't seen anyone else mention this. Plenty of past experience listening to full...- BeyerMonster

How Many Times Have Your LCD3 Headphones Been Returned to Audeze for Servicing (RMA)?
FWIW. I purchased XC and 3 in 03/2014. XCs have had no issues. 3 had left driver failure twice, in 05/2015 and 07/2016. While more reliable, I don't think my 3 sounds as good as it originally did and the earpads they replaced it with are very similar ot the ones on my XC and clearly not as nice...- BeyerMonster

Approx 1 year after replacement, the left driver on my LCD-3 has failed again. :(- BeyerMonster

AUDEZE LCD XC
Really depends on what you're listening to and what you're preferences are. I was pretty happy using a Violectric V200 with my XC's before I got my GS-X mk2. I sometimes use a Schiit Mjolnir as well, but I like the V200 a touch better. I admittedly didn't do a lot of shopping around (too...- BeyerMonster

In all fairness to Walmart, they've always done an exceptional job of providing value to their customers. Any/all "greed" is in their dealings with vendors and/or their employees, but they generally pass savings all the way back to the customers that walk in the door.- BeyerMonster
