Not gonna lie, I like the form factor (coming from an owner of a M2s). I like how in this case we see the potentiometer on the top situated as so. Nothing against the Aune, however, in relation to how they looked at placement of the potentiometer I feel is weak structurally speaking (might I add I have first hand experience, more in a sec) while nice at the same time with it doubling as a button.

So on to my first hand experience on what happened to my player, short story is I was at the park with my son about two weeks ago when a dog surprised us (mostly my son) by running up on him from off the trail we were walking. I was able to guard him and get that damn dog from biting him in the face. Scared him off but, in the process the Aune which was resting on the walker took a 4 foot plop onto the cement in a case mind you, stacked with the B1. Damage was VERY minimal, no scratches on the player, no cracks or distortions in the screen, solid. To my surprise the player took it like a champ, especially the amp, which did receives small scuffs. Both were unaffected SQ wise, thank goodness. HOWEVER, the wheel on the player popped out inside the housing of the player itself. Luckily I was always using line out so that didn't bother me so much. I couldn't help but think if they hadn't gone the extra step to turn the wheel into a button as well it more than likely could have walked away from the whole thing no problem. We'll see what the boys over at Ingenious decide it will cost to fix up and repair.

Back to topic...
Is that Sabre DAC the one they use in desktop configurations or am I wrong about that?

  Any price speculations?

You are a Head-Fi member...price should be of no concern!

I hope the DX200 is still in the works....much nicer looking (theoretically as it's all preliminary R&D) DAP, imo.

Try telling that to the wife/GF, without incurring serious risk of imminent injury!

Thanks for the additional info Mython!

Please keep in mind that much of what I posted is speculation, on my part, rather than confirmed facts

It also appears DX200 has a larger screen....some of us have aging eyes!

The Mini Audio name has nothing to do with iBasso Audio. We dropped the use of the name some time back.

iBasso is a registered company.  "Mini Audio" is a trade name that iBasso used in Chinese market in the past.  iBasso has given up using the trade name "Mini Audio" even in our domestic market since it can't be registered.  Anyone can use the name "Mini Audio" and to clarify, there is no connection of this name from when we stopped using it or in the future with iBasso Audio.

Wow.

Thankyou for clarifying, Paul.

I am surprised - I certainly didn't expect to hear you say that.

I will remove my speculations from the DX200 thread, since they do not apply to iBasso, after all

That is a site we used to use. We have no connection with Mini Audio.
