I’ve made the difficult decision to downgrade my headphone rig (changes in priorities, listening habits, tighter budgets). I’ve 1000% enjoyed my journey to the top. I purchased this used (just over 2yr old) and I sent this back to LTA because I loved it so much I wanted to make sure it was in top shape. I got it back on March 7th 2023. They have upgraded it fully to the latest with the exception that this one doesn’t have subwoofer outs (which has a different output stage, therefore they reco just using the speaker terminals (same advice from REL). These were the updates (with 1yr warranty):
External transformer - Replace the transformer with a new one. The old one had a slight hum.
Resistor update
Headphone speaker switch
New volume control
Internal damping
Comes with the “stock tubes - all measured and verified by LTA; 6189 and 6P14P replaced because the ones previous were out of spec. The amp will have the following tubes:
2pcs - BEL ECC82 - Preamp
2pcs - Mullard M8162/CV4024 - Input Stage
2pcs - Sylvania 6189 - Phase Splitter (Replaced by LTA in March)
4pcs - Reflektor 6P14P-EV - Power Output (Replaced by LTA in March)
And of course they burned it in and verified everything is to spec.
