Well, as the title displayed, what would be better? I am looking for a well detailed, bright (but in the positive way) sound and wich makes the bass sound low fast and tight. I am using the GoVibe 5 at the moment but I have a feeling it sometimes makes the bass sounding a little bit muddy and it's not the hp.
Anyone has had experiences with this? Other advices besides the Ray Samuels line are also welcome. But it has to be a portable amp.

Neither. Get an X-Cans v3 or a CK²III.

For a portable, I think the Hornet will do what you want to do.

i wonder what YOUR portable rig looks like... hiking gear?

with that said, the Hornet will drive them to their potential without being as freakishly large as the SR-71

Hornet,
AE-2,
Xin Sumermacro-IV

Looks like Hornet is the most popular choice these days, make sure to get M version though, not sure if this is what Ray ships now as standard.

Well if you don't need to be portable than skip any of the three you've mentioned-you'll be better served by home amps. For example: Gilmore Lite, Heed CanAmp etc.

I know I heard the Xcan v3 once...totally awesome sound but it really needs to be portable cause it will be used out on the streets.

What's the difference between the normal version and the M-one??
