In Australia the Denon 7000 has a published retail price of $2100, the 5000 is $1100.
That is a grand difference. HD800 is $2000 and is made in Germany.

I read somewhere the D7000 are made in China. No problems with made in China, but economics dictate that the D7000 must compete well above its price to off-set the production cost in China. This places serious doubts in my mind in regards to Denons business model.

Can someone confirm the location of D7000 manufacture. If indeed it is made in the PRC, I have this to say to Denon:

Pull your ****en finger out. Right your wrongs immediately.

That is almost 2 - 3x the price of everywhere else. Do you guys have some kind of crazy import tax like in brazil?

Highest i saw was $2,500 (retail price) for that price you can get way better cans, Edition 8, HD 800 (for $2000 but i think you need an amp for that or can you use it with a iPod? hehe)

for way less than $2,100 AUD (Current exchange rate) you can probably get a LA7000 or something...
