From a stricktly legal standpoint I guess you should.
However I'm getting ready to sell a couple hundred Minidisc's and about 3/4 of them are recorded on and I'm not going to bother .

I had my SACD collection converted to DSD and I noticed in some of the code it has my full name

so strickly legal is the standpoint I'll go by

Of course you don't have to. You may even sell it for higher with your music collection inside.

From a legal perspective it depends on Copyright and whether you're violating the rights of the Copyright holder.

As a general rule, If you're including the only copy on the device you're selling then it's fine (you're transferring ownership). If you're keeping a copy and including a copy on the device you're selling (reproducing it) it's wholly illegal, It's basically illegal file distribution.

In your position, I wouldn't worry too much. It's an honest mistake.
