  I think that is incorrect. I think it is dependent on your phone. basically your phone needs to support USB-OTG digital audio out. 
 
I can use spotify on my samsung galaxy s5 with any dac via the right cable, it works perfectly fine.

 
Not just USB-OTG for audio, but whether it will support async mode or not, since UD120 will be running on async mode. If the built-in driver doesn't support async mode, there there won't make a sound (or it will, but with a lot of distortion).

mmm... maybe so. the ud110v2 is async too. works fine on the s5.

UD110 v1 is async. I believe they changed it to adaptive on UD110 v2.

For your information, Stoner Acoustics don't have a chance to test the UD120 on Galaxy S4 yet. So far, SA have tested the Note 3 and note 2 and the UD120 play straight away.

OK, I will check it out with an Android Phone, those with OTG should work, I have tested UD110 before with a XiaoMi3 Android Phone, it works.

Yes, indeed. The new form factor is much better than UD100 and UD110 in heat shrink wrap previously. UD120 looks classy to me in black plastic housing. The sound is crispier compared to UD110. I totally love it.
