I cable rolled Loki and found that my Penon Leo Plus (gold, silver and palladium) worked best out of my cables, including the Codes.Bursts out laughing. You are not wrong about "Code" being for sound above ergonomics. I think most of the issue is a stiffness issue. Usually to be an ergonomic cable it has to bend easily and feel comfortable against the skin. Based on the phots the Code cables just look very stiff and not comfortable at all.
As an owner for the Loki it is great in some ways an not so much in others. Great in the sense of more ear tips than everyone could ever want. The stock cables do not really do justice to the iem. I ended up having to use a silver plated copper mix cable before I could get the cable to become comfortable. If anyone from water cooler has a recommended cable for Loki that is not a Code cable please let me know.

This is always the case. Put 10 audiophiles in a room and you'll get 15 different opinions. From my perspective, I'm always willing to sacrifice a little bit of SQ for comfort. I won't tolerate anything too harsh, like an elevated treble peak, but if I'm getting a touch less bass or a fraction less stage (and I'm not saying I am with the 145), I can live with that if comfort is better.Man, I hate it when impressions contradict each other in this hobby, as I could find in the meantime: "when you compare W1 to other CP100+/CP145, W1 gives you more bass (I hear more sub-bass) and a bit smoother treble. Will depend on which IEM you pairing it with, but with Jewel I switched to W1 and keeping it!!!" (@twister6, https://www.head-fi.org/threads/the...n-first-page-all-welcome.957426/post-17054314) Of course, this has to do with the ear anatomy, still...
Also, when it comes to tips, to be honest I can find 10 different tips that all work for any given IEM. There's so many out there. Luckily I've started to narrow down my options, always starting with comfort and ending with SQ.

Even better if you play the game, but still a good album if you haven't
Last time I ordered from them the tips ended up in the Netherlands in 4 days, after which it took PostNL over 3 weeks to do the last 75 kms. The parcel arrived 1.5 weeks after I left the country. Which reminds me... there should be a parcel sitting somewhere waiting.Yes, MTMT. So far my orders came through fine, in two weeks’ time or so, but this one went missing, probably a sorting error at PostNL.
Rn6 bass, Sultan mids, Ronin upper mids, U18t treble, Mentor spatial cues, as a TWS, at any price. We should do a poll: What would be your favorite "dream" signature? For example, for me, if I had to 'create' an IEM, I would take Empire Ears bass, Penon mids, and treble and technicalities would be like MEST OG....whats yours?
+1 and the reason I'll keep looking for that one IEM that does it all. Dreaming is free anyway.this is a misconception, I’m afraid. It’s not like if vocals aren’t there then the area of the mids isn’t filled with something else or that something else is not as relevant as vocals. There is a lot (some would say most) of information in instrumental/ambient music in the mids, therefore they’re just as important as the other ranges.
They were my favourite since I used them for the first time on U12t, then U18t, and now Sultan. I only compared them to 17 other tips and not to the latest hits like Baroque. Nor AEX07 actually.I just 'discovered' the 145 yesterday. Not sure how after all these years I've never used them.

I recall the horrible experience early last year waiting for my Denon D9200 () which shipped with PostNL - took weeks to arrive, I was convinced they were lost but they eventually showed up. I’ve had other bad experiences with them too but that one stands out!

Yes, exactly, that's true - unfortunately or not. This is always the case. Put 10 audiophiles in a room and you'll get 15 different opinions. This has always been on my "to-play" list. I loved ICO. This will probably be the game I play soon. I want to play through Tunic first .

Elysium bass, IE900 mids, Odin uppermids, Westone treble, earpods technicalities, EXT fit, Empire Ears Raven launch, Susvara drivability, UM pricing with no cable included, and FF aftersales support. With a new limited edition colour iteration every 1-2 months with no serial number to indicate that it is limited. We should do a poll: What would be your favorite "dream" signature? Jokes aside I feel like messing with one frequency area will affect the rest so an ideal IEM may be impossible. That being said I'll take Raven bass, Creator mids, Anni treble, STAX technicalities, and HD800s soundstage/imaging.

I didn't get the joke until I read EXT fit. Then I re-read it and had a good chuckle. A lot of them can be found on the AliExpress, just be sure to order from sellers with at least tenth of sales made and good reviews in order not to by replicas.Where the hell does one acquire such tips from, please?

It actually fitted me very nicely but I am confident that I am the minority here - which is a shame because it is such a unique IEM. They can take a thing or two from the Raven as I have not heard anyone having fit issues with them despite being probably the largest IEM I have ever seen. A pretty amazing feat IMO.I didn't get the joke until I read EXT fit. Then I re-read it and had a good chuckle. Suppository for your ears, that IEM

It's never the shell, always the nozzle. Whoever thought a fat nozzle like that was a good idea probably has caves for earholes. It actually fitted me very nicely but I am confident that I am the minority here - which is a shame because it is such a unique IEM. I remember trying to put eartips on this thing for the first time. It is like trying to open canned tuna from a freezer with your bare hands. It's never the shell, always the nozzle. Whoever thought a fat nozzle like that was a good idea probably has caves for earholes.
We look at you as our Leader, as our Mr. Everything is Possible if You Believe and Work Hard Enough, so please do not hurt us any further with all this unnecessary rationality.I remember the first time I asked a question like that (ie., design our perfect IEM by taking elements of different IEMs) and someone... @HiFiHawaii808 I think...made the point that you'll never get an IEM with perfect everything (ie., Trifecta bass, VE mids, Elysian treble) as each of those factors respectively gets its greatness by being the focal point...and you can't have everything be the focal point...something needs to take the second chair etc.. I think that's a pretty good point. Also, all the factors I love about my favorite IEMs get their greatness not in isolation but how they collectively play together with all the other elements of the IEM in question. Case in point-- could you get the fun factor of the Trifecta AND the technicality of the u12t...I'm not sure personally as the u12t's technical prowess derives from it having such a dry sound, which is by nature not fun. Not to take away from the glory of what you have imagined here this is just something I think of whenever this idea gets brought up. All of that said my own answer to that question would consist of a combo of my current 3 favorite IEMs-- Trifecta bass, staging & fun factor, Perpetua mids & timbre, Fei Wan aiir & separation...Campfire style & build, Eletech cable...color syergy galor. Reflecting on what I just said I'm not even sure this would be possible, but one can dream.
