Me impression ....its only for 30 minutes ....BUT

- clarity is superb with good separation with DSD files .....though its not as hot as DX90
- very good soundstage
- UI is very very basic
- very solid built quality ...much like Electrolux front loading washing machine
- love the back case very much ...3D like carbon

Could not really get a better feel of it but initial impression is very good .

Edited ...wish had longer time trying it out but for the price .....pretty steep

I found it to sound very close to the X5 when volume matched. A bit different, but close. And I love the design!!

Now that you mentioned it .....bit like X5 but more stirile and not as musically fun ......what did you think of the UI ..to me bit bare bone for that price ....

I wanted to mod it the whole time I was using it. It has a lot of potential to be a straight forward, simple UI and I like the amount of feedback on the screen.

The upper mids on the X5 are more forward, but the N6 sounds more musical to me. I'll explain a lot more in my review.

Ooooooh ....btw me also saw Sony NW-ZX2 .....no demo allowed cuz it was in a glass case ...the sales people at Sony were snobbish .... meh.

I have no interest in the ZX-2. I can appreciate the cost of developing a good UI and an all-in-one DAC/amp solution on a chip, but I can't get with the price for what the hardware offers, I hear a lot of people like it though.

Fiio is really pushing the boundary with constant update , customer interaction , pushing out new products every 18 months cycle ..X1 X3II and now X5II.....,,poor consumers .....chasing the dragon ..LOL

The sony players for me are like the AKs - overpriced for what you get.
