The S500 are good enough that I traded away my AT WS55. Are the WS99 significantly better than the WS55?

They are significantly better, but if you're still not sure ask Dsnuts. He own a the S500s, ES700s, and the WS99s. I know he has at least heard the WS55s as well.

Yeppp you are right, a total upgrade from these S500s would be the WS99s if you want even more/ better bass response.

The ES700s should be a more refined version of the S500s with better mids/ trebles.

How long does it take to get a cheap pair of cans out of JA Pan?
It's been 3 weeks now and I am just wondering if our Customs Slime's got a hold of them...

I ordered mine off Amazon from a seller called Tokyo Japan, IIRC, but it took me 3 or 4 weeks before they came. I think Customs was the holdup, but I'm not 100% sure. Also I chose the standard shipping speed.
