No, I am cool with one dac, since it is a flagship dac from TI, I trust James's decision, but seriously, is there a plan to make dual dac dap in the future like X7?

Sure, as we known, The x3 is the No.1 among all high-res DAP around the world. ( please correct me if there are anywhere I don't know ).  but I know that X3 is not perfect. especially in the ID and UI. but the UI can be upgraded in the future and we believe we can do that cause
 
we have a great partner who help us design the UI of X5 , I think it is the best even compare with other big company, means it will be world class UI.

Regarding the firmware what is most important than UI design is to
have a stable, robust software with great usability.
Something that even doing less things it does it flawless.
And adding more robust features with updates.

i don't think the GUI will fit that player, hardware and software should be one thing, it should complete eachother.

yes, the most important thing is not look great but work great, that is why the UI of X3 is not so good cause we plan to make a stable system for X3 first . and our partner is professional UE/UI design company so it will not just look great.

I think X5 will have USB DAC feature, but will it have USB Audio Output too? That is something quite important for me, not a deal breaker but if it is there, I will be a lot more happy

X5 is looking quite good. DX50 to my knowledge also looks good but has ui issues(as does x3) from what im hearing. X3 ui fixes are comming along nicely. I hope those fixes can be applied to the X5

yes, the Soc is the same , so we can use the same kernel for both X3 and X5.
