James,
After I updated my library some albums are grouped under "Unknown Album" in "Category". Those do show up properly in iTunes so I guess my files are missing some tags the X3 is relying on. I'd like to know what tags the X3 uses in defining an album. Thanks!
Could you upload the files to somewhere so we can download and see why it can't
how can a user use its full power of 24 bit 96khz playing DAC power? Can it be set manually on the settings or it will just automatically detect the sonic properties of the audio file?
under the settings can it be manually set to 24/192 or it will depend on the file being played?
how does the X3 stand against a 6th or 7th gen Rockboxed iPod classic in terms of sound?
thanks for your reply
I agree with tomscy on how the typography could be improved! Heres a fiio x3 menu redesign with subjectively better typefaces that I made a few minutes ago. Hope the future UI might look something like this? Nice, really easy to read, easy on eyes, etc?
Brandon Grotesque would be an excellent legible sans serif typeface for the x3, this looks so much cleaner and more professional...
A black background and white text will save battery life compared to your example here.
Will it for this type of display? I don't know how TFT LCD works, but some displays are backlight driven. They are still using power with black or white, and may even be more efficient with white: http://www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=fact-or-fiction-black-is
Interesting. Maybe we'll have to ask James himself if the black background saves energy on this display or not?
Does the X3 have an EQ? Or any sort of sound tweaking features like a Cowon?
Hey James,
When in July should we expect the X3 to hit the US?

not , in fact, even you turn off the displayer, the battery life only get about 15 to 30 mins longer. the total current consume is about 300mah, and the display only took 14mAh.
and not to talk that the TFT is not OLED or AMOLED so it can't save any power even the background is full black.
