Where is the so called 'two different modes' for mp3 and lossless on the Teclast X19HD? I don't see it. On the picture you linked, the right side with the STMP 3770 output to headphone, that section refers to the typical infrastructure of normal MP3 players, and not 'normal mp3s' as opposed to FLAC.
 
The only two different modes I can see would be one for battery conservation and one for 'maximum driving ability'.

Yeah, I read the lossless / mp3 thing on a french blog with google translate, I think they were just confused by the HI/LO gain settings.
 
 
Apparently the battery lasts for approx 35 hours on low gain, and only 5-6 hours on high gain lol. The ownta.com place offers an "emergency battery" though, in case someone using this with the DT 700 / 600 ohm needs more juice lol.

Thanks, and well... I think the HM-601 is really thick, I hardly ever take it outside, and the sound quality isn't exacty something to write to the queen of England about, I don't think NOS is her cup of tea.

Let's hope it's not just an E-Q7 looking clone at the performance level of UE700 huh? I hope Vsonic has played their cards right here, and don't detract from the pioneering value of the GR09.
 
The Sony XBA-3 is going to cost around the same price as the GR01, so I can't really see it taking off unless it has dual vented balanced air movement or something equally fantastical.
