Hmmmmmmm
Hahahahaha

Perfect custom for all the good ol boys out there who are into the big ladies
Alright, that's enough of that. jokes over time to move on.

Christ man. Repeated exposure is going to lead to me using Cialis :frowning2:

Believe me I'm not the only one but I'm probably one of the worst cases if not the worst lol. :).

The bamboo mismatch is really strange. I don't pretend to understand their process, but given how little bamboo is actually in the faceplates, you'd think that sourcing the wood wouldn't be an issue

I think people were a bit harsh on him being harsh on the AKGs. He did gradually explain his reasoning in a much more subdued voice later on, the initial review garnered attention (negative or otherwise).

I tried following the Mimouille experience but half the time on the Heir threads I had no idea what was going on. I still don't.

Nonsense. Purrin teaches a course at Troll university. He thrives on anger and confusion, its not his fault people failed to grasp that it was a tarp all along.

And are you sure you weren't in the animu thread? A good way to discern this is to take stock of how many saucer eyed avatars and mentions of Toradora are in the thread.

Well according to them "to accommodate me it would cost them over $300.00 to order special bamboo inlays".

$300. LOL. Just cut up some leopard print thong, slap the fabric on the monitors, seal her up and call it a day. I'll save my $300 thank you very much

lol what I meant is that they had to place a special order to have the inlays in "one piece" to accommodate my design. I kinda found it a bit odd to mention that to me. Like I'm suppose to feel bad or privileged that they are doing so for me? Please... I paid for the product to be done right and I didn't give a rats-ass what they had to do to do the job right. What's good for one is good for another :).

Just a wild guess, I'd say they have about a $1.50 in bamboo on your customs. Bamboo isn't cheap but last time I checked it's pricing wasn't up there with gold or silver. I would imagine they'd have to order by bulk, which is no big deal considering the material would eventually be used for making other customs and other designs. There's always the extra labor aspect of it of coarse. Mind you they could have avoided some of the added cost if they had just not sent out the 8A to begin with and fixed the problem from the start.

What do you think, are UM Miracles looking better and better right now?

lol I was actually considering them at one point but the 8A had me drawn in with its presentation being similar to the LCD2, Lawton Denon 7000 and HE500. At least from comparisons I was sold lol. I didn't opt for the miracle as I thought its signature wouldn't be vastly different from the 1Plus2 and in that a downgrade/side-grade. So I wanted to go for something very different from what I had.

Tips tips tips twinQy :). Just try a gazillion tips and I sure it will work lol. Funny that's actually a word? :p Personally the metal housing would cause discomfort to my ears on long listening sessions. But I still liked them. Just the feeling of being disconnected from the music was very odd. I didn't feel that way all the time but a lot of the time I did.... This was before I even read anything on the negatives. Well nothing was taken to heart. I went into demoing them with an open mind. I don't buy into the bias bit. I'll give the item a fair amount of time to access its sound and will do so according to how I hear it and not how I want to hear it.

They only had the stock tips. I was too polite to ask to swap them. Anyways it was more of how the nozzle was connected to the body, no matter the insertion depth I never seemed to get them deep enough. And yet that midbass....
TBF I didn't even know about the thread or impressions on it as well. For the most part I thought the mids were nice.

Sadly I dropped out of UofTroll due to lack of interest. Also I wasn't abrasive enough so my grades just weren't cutting it.

Yep, definitely the Heir thread then.

Yes. Yes you were.
This is the sort of vibe I get from a lot of their comments and marketing stuff.

But this isn't just any bamboo. It's not even bamboo. It's mahogany, from the planet Malchior 7.

Mahogany.

This is what I think of that sort of attitude .

I seriously need to watch Dragon ball Z over. I never really watched every episode yet I like have the entire collection from Dragon Ball to Dragon Ball GT :). Cell Saga is still my all time favorite.

I'd imagine a_recording would have. I'd imagine he would've heard all the Sony by now.

$30? O.o Where? That's a real nice deal - places them right under the E30 which I though they had always belonged. Doesn't have the body of the Soundmagics but it's nice and sweet and clear and pleasant of note. The size also "makes more sense" with the build/design and all that.

I just really like the Abridged series. Otherwise I'd read the manga.
GT is so nostalgic though.

Universals aren't necessarily inferior sound-wise, but for me a lot of them are getting hard to tolerate because of the pressure that develops from insertion. Even stuff like the SM64 and 1Plus2 which have some of the least pressure of any universal I've used still kind of bug me in this respect. Poor-fitting CIEMs are even worse, though.

Regarding the pressure that you felt with universals (and badly fitting CIEMs) how would you describe it? A sense of stuffiness between the eardrum and the IEM until all you feel is some pressure behind the eyes? Yes this might sound too weird.
--------------------
It's not just suction, which is a huge problem for me with a lot of IEMs like the Heaven series, but also the sensation of fullness inside the ears. Even with universals that are more comfortable than average like the TG! 334 and 1Plus2, I'm still finding I prefer the sensation of custom stems because they feel less stuffed if that makes sense.

My ear canals are extremely narrow however.

The most comfortable CIEMs for me are FitEar's because they have a relatively shallow insertion depth compared to some others.

Closer and closer I feel that you are my doppelganger.....

Amazon brah. I'd actually just skip all of it and just spend a little extra to get the VSonic VC04, but that removable cable design just scares me. I would be so pissed if I lost one lol

I keep on talking about getting the VC02 but I've yet to actually do it. What's wrong with me? Well maybe it's because I've asked a local dealer whether or not they would have them in, they said yes, I wait for a few months, still nothing...

I'd wear it over-the-ear so the cable wouldn't just fall off into oblivion (the shells look to be a deep-insertion sort of deal so not too worried about those falling off).

On a side note I finally got my 8As back. It's been a couple months, maybe 3. It's been a PITA journey as you had mentioned Muppet. Not sure where to start. I decided not to post on the Heir thread in support of Heir due to the entire experience. Plus being made to pay for their mistake (I had to pay shipping back to them and back from them on a design flaw that should never have been considered acceptable in the first place!).

The pictures below are of the first build of my IEMs. The patch job on the left IEM should never have been considered acceptable on their part. They've never done that to any other customer before and this is where my entire problem lies with them an ethics.

Below is the second build of my IEM once I shipped the first pair back to be redone. As you can see this looks even worse than the first pair since they messed up both sides instead of one this time lol. They tried to not provide me pictures and gave me a hassle when I asked them to provide me multiple pictures.

Finally the picture below is what I consider acceptable. Like the builds they make for everyone else. I didn't expect anything special on my part just quality work that they give to everyone in general. Not sure why it was made so hard to get to this point lol but I'm glad its over. The fit seems to be good and I am ecstatic to be done with this company forever.

I switched out the mangus cable for the gold cable which really improved the sonics of these IEMs and pairing them with the Nova N1 player so far is the best I've heard them sound with music. Finding the right synergy with these is not easy. They don't sound nearly as good on my Triad or Studio V compared to the N1 lol (they sound like crap on them to be honest...). Overall in terms of sound and finally build lol, I'm quite happy with them. Just the experience of purchasing a $1,200 unit was hell and I wouldn't wish that kinda service on my worst enemy. :xf_eek:

Heir Audio then.
