Thanks guys, I foresee a long overdue audio journal entry concerning the UERM and Paradox. If these 2 gears sound half as good as what I've read about them I just might be easily set for the wrest of this year. I really have to start slowing down in the ear/headphone dept an be a little more selective in what I buy. It's time I concentrated on cementing the audio chain for these two gears and sat back an started enjoying the music more.

No doubt - I think JFK is now considered BOTH the greatest proponent AND deterrent to the US space program. The X-15 and the lifting bodies were always the right long-term solution - but it would have taken much longer to achieve the big television milestones than the big von Braun rockets.

If you want to lose an entire evening, check out this site: http://falsesteps.wordpress.com/
It is a huge archive of blog posts about space vehicles and projects from all around the world that never made it. It is fascinating! One of them is the X-15B, which was a proposed follow-on to the X-15 that would achieve orbit. One of the biggest issues was the materials needed to withstand the high temps:

Thanks for the link.

I wonder if astronauts listen to music up there, to keep themselves entertained, maybe not.   I saw footage of a Russian playing chess up there once, against "Fritz", the only chess computer program which has been into outer space.

BTW, I read another page that said the ipod's they take onboard have the lithium battery replaced with an alkaline battery pack. I'm guessing that when you run out of juice, you're tunes are over.

This is really bad, but I saw the word "parody" and saw the picture, and thought it was some kind of Jimmy Kimmel skit starring Guillermo...

@warren, I just had to look to the right side of even this page to find Curra's review. It's the PanAm/WA7 review.

It didn't show up there for me, but I did find it anyway!  Thanks!

Don't know about the USA but the Canadian version of Kmart was the 70's/80's version of WalMart, Rexall Drugs and Dollarama all rolled into one.

It was the same here.  It was also a community center of sorts, in that parents liked to gather at Kmart in order to discipline their children, all in the same place, at the same time.

In some of the pics the lens structure looked sort of like fish scales or some sort of geometric cell structure - like looking at an onion slice under a middle school microscope.
