Another question about the pro 900 versus the m100, which one has more sub bass, and how would that sub bass compare to a pare of dt770 pro 80's, that is what i currently have and it would be nice to have around that much sub bass before eq.

So I'm not sure if these two headphones can be compared but here is my question. How do the Sony mdr-xb600 compare to the V-moda M100? How does the bass, miss, and the highs compare if at all. I recently got a set of XB600 and love them, only paid $50 for them. So I'm wondering if the V-modas' are worth the extra $260

How long have you been gone? The best value right now for most people is the V Moda M-100. Or go all the way up to the Ultrasone Signature DJ.

My last post was in 7/12 so it was quite a while ago.

Thanks for the heads up.

I didn't really like the M80's.

M-100's are great basshead phones. What about the M-80 didn't you like?

The JVC a few posts above is the hot new one that's getting buzz now that its out.

Can't think of anything else new but read the past X amount of pages to see what the thump heads have been up to. Modding Q-40's, loving the Ultrasone Sig pair.

They felt lifeless to me. The upper vocals didn't exactly shine, and the bass was a bit like cardboard. Stale

But of course, I only heard them for a few minutes last year.

I've had the M-100 for about 2 weeks now... I chose these after A/Bing vs the PRO 900 (another awesome basshead can)... I was a bit skeptical going in... but to my ears they blow away my XB500 and M50 (great sound, weak bass) and CKS77 in clarity. I've never heard bass this clean, the whole experience is like butter. Trance, House, Tech, Progressive... all sound absolutely like nothing I've heard before, I am going back to all my old songs and finding details I didn't even notice before.

Who here thinks that it would be a good idea for Fostex to start reproducing the D2K/D5K as the TH100 and TH300 respectively. (Because there would be little need for a rebrand of the D7K, with the TH600 in that price point)

Definitely. I'm not suprised if something like that shows up later down the road.
