+2...
The CKS77 are fun earphones...as I said they remind me of the MDT's.
I wouldn't class them as analytical and detailed, like the ASG-1's.

But I'm all about the fun baby! :D

FUN!!! Is a reason to own earphones and those sure sound fun, my able planets are also really fun as it happens! Id like a comparison of them with these so i may have to send them to one of you, dubbed if you have time.

Nope. The CKS77 are superior to them.  The CKS90 has a different sound. They have a V shape sound to them and not the fullness that is on the CKS77. I bought one to compare and they also lack the highs that are on the CKS77 as well.. I will save you some money and say if you have a CKS77 you will be downgrading.. AT ditched that knot air chamber design on the CKS90 as the sound is not as deep or airy as the CKS77. .

If you want another AT earphone. Go for the CKM500. Fantastic for a different sound altogether.

Pick one for pop.  Pick one for jazz.  Pick one for techno

Classical. Hmm that's a tough one as the CKM500 has more detail but the CKS77 has bigger more engaging sound for classical.  I think CKM500

New Age. Hands down CKS77.  Either one and you will be fine. Seriously. I would hate to try find a gift for you on your birth day. Lol!..

Look Alberto both are excellent at all music not just what they are good at. Please for my sanity sometime this year. You can decide if you want or not want one but I think by now you have a good idea of what these should sound like. If not I give up.  I think maybe out of your 71 posts here at headfi. A good 50 of them has to be toward me. I like answering questions for headfiers as that is what these threads should be about but man. It ain't that difficult. If a big roomy fun sound appeals to you. the CKS77. If you want a more detailed balanced sound the CKM500.

You make it seem like your life depends on the right one. Bejebus! This ain't choose your own adventure with a death pit at the end of it. This is like choosing a hottie blond for a date or a hottie brunette.. You just gotta choose.

Hmmm... now that I got the Atrio's MG7s, and after spending days reading this thread, I want to give CKS77 a try too (dam you dsnuts XD). I just missed the Soundstage from my IE8, but I do like the subbass from the Atrio's. Anyone know a website that sell these at a great price? Lowest price I found on google is $93.98 from AccesssoryJack.com. Or should I get it on ebay? I'm just afraid they might be fakes if I buy it from ebay.
