Presonus HD7 arrived today. 217 Yuan, $36.17
First 30 minutes impressions:
Haptics:
Obviously SuperLux OEM.
Look, feel and sound clearly SL.
Cable is shorter, thicker, more robust, not detachable.
Packaging nicer than SL.
Pads just a bit nicer. But just.
Sibiliance issue as with most older SL.
Headband arch microphonics as in most SL.
Build quality is up a notch or two. It's still all plastic but feels more substantial than the SL line.
Sound:
Detail and mids appear to be better than my 668b and 681b & 681f and 662b.
That extra level of realism, detail, midrange, upper midrange and treble (with the Sssssibilance in the middle of that good sound).
Conclusion:
First guess is that this is a rebranded 681 null Burgundy or Red Ring.
Burn in commencing, will compare to my 668's and 681's in a few days.

Edit:
Second Impressions:
The drivers are labeled "2x32ohms" which is what the 681n family is. Not 668b.
The sound is either that of the 681f or 681 null.
I do not own a 681, the PreSonus are to fill that gap (I live in China and the 681 null are not distributed here from Taiwan), so I do not have a pair fo Burgundy/Red Rings to compare.
I have compared the 668b and 681b. It is neither.
The sound is very different than the other 681's with greater clarity, a soundstage that is a bit closer, and greater harmonic wholeness and integrity to the body and sound of each instrument.
This may be the sound that others raved about with the Nulls. It is, so far, better than the other 681 line...

Edit:
Third Impressions:
This hp is brighter even than the the 681x's.
Compared the 681f, harmonic presentation of HD7 is richer than that with a deeper sound-stage presentation as well.
This is definitely a different SL OEM driver/can and the only one remaining would be an OEM rebrand of the 681 Burgundy/Red Ring null.
Now I see why everyone raved. Better even than all the other SL including the 668.
Only 9 hours into burn-in, more observations to follow in the coming weeks...

Edit:
Fourth Impressions:
The highs and Ssssssibilance are being tamed by 48+hours of burn-in. Still there but not as pronounced.
Bass has tightened up and deepened a small amount.
78+ hours of burn in and on Mozart, K. 421, female vocals and classical actually sound better than the Pro80's. Soundstage is outstanding. FR and SQ is thin and does not do rock as well as the Pro80 but on classical the effect is stunning for the price. Instruments at a point in space easily pointed to, lots of detail. Pro80 has a 'stick beating cardboard' tone to the bass and collapsed soundstage in comparison. More slam, more harmonic compleatness to instruments, closer in presentation.
Comparison to other SL in the future...
