Thanks Vinny. Did those come with the velour pads attached? If not, are they easy to change out?

No, they come with pleather pad's attached, to put the velour one's you need to stretch them a little bit.

From what i read the only seller from amazon who are sending the v2 w/ extra pads are sonic sense..

When i can i'll get another pair cause i liked very much the confort of these cans

Definitively get the v2 with the extra pads.

Comfort is so subjective, I wouldn't comment on it, I find them very comfortable. Not as much as my T90 but quite nice.

What's the v2?

The v2 is the newer version that comes with a second set of pads (velours) in the box. Apparently the highs are a bit tamed and the overall sound is better than in the v1.

OK Thanks. I ordered the 681 EVO, with the spare velour pads.

Does anyone have any tips or a link, about changing out the pads?

Great choice!

I will check at home tonight and let you know (maybe take pix if it is complicated). However I remember it being pretty straight forward.

Cheers,
K

So, am just listening to them... still great cans...

Changing them is easy and can be done in a few minutes, just pull the existing pad of from one side. You will see how they are attached and then just put the others back on, they are quite flexible but being careful is always a good idea.

also where i live is summer and when i changed the pads i felt my ears way more ventilated and less sweaty

The soundstage of this headphone is impressive playing games(CMSS3D) and listening to music(DolbyHP). Really enjoyable.

Thanks. I thought there might be some disassembly involved.

Just placed my order for a pair of HD681s.  $24.99 on eBay, shipped (with my $5.00 off coupon from eBay).  Hope they are as good as everyone says.

Also watching a auction for a pair of HD668Bs.  May pull the trigger on them this weekend too.
