There's nothing wrong with enjoying bass. But I think better quality bass is just... well, better.

And I know the bass of the Z7 can be made better without sacrificing much (if any at all) of the quantity.

Personally, I think the Z7 is a good headphone, but it can be made into a greater headphone if Sony had just spent a bit more time on it. Either that or Sony knows, but they are deliberately releasing worse models now to prepare for something else in the near future.

May I know what is the mod you have done to restore the Z7 treble after 10kHz? If it can be easily done then I would love to acquire a pair of Z7. It is priced at Yen46800 now in Japan.

The price burn is real with these headphones.
Might buy a spare after I dump all my low end junk.

What do you mean with "price burn"?

The Z7s in my Slappa Hardbody Pro.  And yes, I'd remove the cable...

Ah, nice and snug. What do you do with the cable if you take it somewhere? Can you roll it up and put it in the Slappa without damaging the Z7's, or do you keep it someplace else..?
I put the cable right in the middle nearly cooled up.
