same tips, same filters.
Well, then there's your answer. Not trying to get you into another/different phone, but I know several members on this thread (as well as myself) think the audio from the G3 is very good.
Still doesn't solve my bass problem. Well, time to get the SCS!
I love my moto x screen size too much. It's perfect so I never want to upgrade
You'll be bashing the ie800 the minute you put the 846 in your ears.
For me the Westone star tips work perfectly for exercising. I also used the active comply tips, which were actually very good as well. Surprisingly. I prefer the Westone over everything else I've tried. At least until I add sleeves.
In that case, since you are okay with the hissing from your beloved Moto X, just increase the EQ in the bass range (for example 60hz) in your favorite media player, and that should take care of your bass wants and needs. The SCS may help you out with your bass needs as well, as the deep fit and isolation should maximize what you hear in the entire audio spectrum, but of course, your mileage may vary.
Oh, and the Moto X's (2014 version) screen size is 5.2 inches whereas the G3 is 5.5 inches, for reference.
Did a little research on the Westones...seems they come in silicone and foam. Which one are you guys recommending? The silicone ones look like every other silicone type so what's so special? Is the silicone thicker than the stock silicones? Also, not sure they will work with the Klipsche x10 ear buds I have now.

The Westone Star silicones have "ribs" of some sort on the inside that are supposed to help them keep their shape, etc. You can see them on the inside. But I do find I get a better more secure fit and better sound with them vs the stock Shure tips
Yes, I apologize. I wasn't bashing the 800's. It was a slight disappointment being a supporter of most high end Sennheiser products in general. A lot of universal iems come down to fit. The bore of the 800 just wasn't stable in my ears.Maybe...Maybe not....I own both and I like both ....yes the 8s are better :..it hits lower in the sub bass region which is what I love ....but I still found myself liking the iE800 it's a nice IEM in many ways plus it's an innovative move forward it may not be perfect as nothing is I think even the 8s could've been made with a better seal between the nozzle as there's stronger yet forgiving materials that could've been used ..... But I tell you after hearing them you will fall in love with the Shures
