Shure SE846 Impressions Thread

Sound wise alone the TW2 is a huge upgrade over the BT2 - then there’s the fit, the Shure play app. Way better for 846.
Still not as good as wired though!
I disagree. The BT2 sounds better to me. There was something thin about the TW2's sound that I never liked (not EQ'd). And the case being so big made it restrictive for me. I can easily toss the BT2 in my pocket.

I just remove the IEMs listen/talk then reinsert them. But yes that'll be nice. To be honest I haven't even looked for that feature.
What's special about the NYX cable though, is what I mentioned above. It alters a bit in a pleasant manner 846's signature. While they preserve their mid presence and amazing imaging qualities, the bass is deeper and dynamic driver-like which also widens somehow separation and space. (But needs white filters)

Believe me when I say the 846s hold their own against these IMR Avalons with their new gen dynamic driver, bone conduction and twin ESTs!!

Does anyone know what the standard (silver) Shure SE846 MMCX cable is made out of. Is it a pure copper cable? I've been trying find it on google but cant seem to find a answer. --- Thanks
I don't know (and don't care actually), but maybe ask Shure support: in general they are happy to help (as long as you don't ask for red filters

Seriously late to the party here. Loooong-time (10+ years?) SE535 lover finally upgrades to SE846 Gen 2. Found a deal (of sorts) here in the UK - should be here tomorrow. Excited.

One of the great aspects of IEM's is that a) they come in small boxes which can usually be smuggled in un-noticed, and b) if they do get noticed, household members will have absolutely no conception whatsoever of how much these things can cost!

You'll going to like the se846, I owned the se535 for a long time, but always felt something was missing (I lived with it, because the rest was good). the se846 is quite a step up I think. (I like the red filters the most of 2nd GEN, and blue the second choice)
