I do second the the FW update and really really hope the 5800 limit is gone as i have over 300 gb and this makes it hard to choose which files to pick, as ALL my files are great due to my God like taste in music. Feel free to cheer and yes you may kiss my virtual royal ring.

Pewterlocks: Not a fan of folder browsing? Honestly, I find that preferable on all the DAPs I've tried to date. That way, I get to choose how I see my music.

A-C -> Artist -> Year + Album -> Track# + Song

Some like throwing age rest the very top level, but that's not for me.

I do the folder thing as well,when i go by artist i like to have the option of playing all the songs that i have as well.
That being said i like to have that virtual " jukebox" of thousands and thouands if songs playing ramdomly.
Besides after i spent my $500 Canadian for the M3 ± sdcard, i really think that having nore than 5800 limit should be there right out of the box, now we have to wait for an update that may not even come.
There i said my rant.
Besides my music collection is such a mess ( think my cat was walking on my keyboard again)
I have discovered some of my folders have folders in them that are a different artist from the one that it is in. Fun stuff. It's like some archaeological dig. It took me 2 hours to clean up my BB King collection from broken files, duplicates and the mish mash of fornats, Whoo, hooo.
When it come to the conversion aspect of said mess, i have major issues as i somehow took all my flac files and made them mp3, not what i was trying to do. Damn Cnet suggestion for conversion, blah,blah,and blah.

So how is your start to 2016 going

Pewterlocks: Shanling will get there. I think it's just a limitation of the Ingenic chip they used. If you look at other Ingenic-based DAPs, they're struggling with the same issue. FiiO fixed it, Cayin and Shanling are just a bit behind working on it.

Hey All,  Nice to meet All Shanling M3 users here. 

I am a Shanling M3 user and I have bought it for 2 months. Everything is great to me and I love @Shanling except in the cold weather these days. I am living in Hong Kong where I think it's cannot compare with other Countries. However, starting from last week, Hong Kong dropped to around 3 degrees last Sunday and M3 start not working until I have to use my hand to warm it up or go to a warmer place. I can't switch it on in outdoor or in bus. Anyone got this situation before?

Hello, I did not experience such problem last week when temperature drop below 0 celcius degrees ( -5 to be precise ).
Maybe Shanling can help you.
