Just wondering, does anyone here would like to sell a pair of used hd650 to me? I have been regretting it ever since I sold mine.

HD650s come up really frequently in the FS threads. Glad to see that you miss them!

how does the hd580 compare with the hd650? is it really not comparable?

Also what is the jubilee that everyone is talking about?

People would disagree with you there if you were to say there isn't a difference. I don't know the difference myself, but I know there is one.

HD580's Jubilee's were essentially HD600's before there were HD600's.

Well... just so you know...

My "new" HD580Ms (with the 600 screens, and the RAL Cryo-Silver cable)... sounds... IDENTICAL to the "new" HD650Ms (with the RAL Cryo-Silver cable) I had - IDENTICAL in all respects! Their sound, by the way, is as good, or better, than my other phones (see my signature) - all are exceptional.

That's why I returned my HD650s to J&R - IDENTICAL sound at twice the price!

Now... I can't explain why they sounded identical - possibly, they had IDENTICAL drivers - they looked similar, whether by design, or fluke.

Though... my "new" HD580Ms were much better than my "old" HD650s - which were much darker and slower.

So... if you can find a pair of "new" HD580s for sale in the forums, or on Audiogon, or eBay... you can likely save a "bunch of bucks" for the same sound... which is GREAT!

My HD580s have silver screens, as do my HD650s and even with the same cable, they sound different to me +___+

[Unless by screen you mean grille as I have the standard blue plastic grille. I tried the HD650 grille on the HD580 and it sounded the same to me.....]

The D2000s are better for the extra bass they have.

Alright. I've recently gotten into the headphone world and bought the K701 right out of the gate after reading quite a bit. After a month I reevaluated and decided I wasn't quite happy with these guys; first off and mainly they were extremely hard on my ears (the treble) and that was what steered me towards a different pair. Long story short, I bought the 650s earlier in the week and just got them in a couple hours ago, burning them in, and I can already positively say I just might enjoy them more.

BRING IT ON

I saw the HD650's on Amazon for $370. Didn't feel like passing it up, so it seems that myself and the HD650's have unfinished business. I'll be getting an SXC Cryo cable for them. I've really missed their sound. It took me a month or so to realize that I had made a mistake selling them.
