Seattle area vinyl junkies?
Jun 12, 2009 at 4:05 AM Post #31 of 134
I don't have any phono preamp, just receiver. Vinyl is a hassle and spendy hobby. Good cartridge cost more then HD 800. I like to keep it simple. I am for any minimeet. Will brink HD800, Edition9, K701, Phonitor and XA5400ES.

I will be out of town June 29th -> July 2nd. I think I am free the week of 21st -> 27th but i'll have to double-check on that.

We haven't had a lot of info yet on this -- whats days would be best for you? Please everyone respond so we can reach a good compromise on what day / evening to hold it

The setting at the UW does sound good. Parking on campus is free Saturday afternoon and on Sundays. I'm not sure what the scene is during the week or during breaks.

My only other commitment is for the 18th. Any other date and time are OK by me.

Well, since it looks like the meet isnt going to happen this week, the room at UW will only be completely available on the weekends.

My own personal schedule is: free Monday-Thursday afternoons; Friday-Sunday, all times.

I'm in the Bellevue are and would like to contribute my tiny set of stuff to the meet, UW works great for me, I'm free all weekends and any weekday after 1:30, and so far all the mentioned dates/times work for me.

I'd love to hear some HD800's and L3000's!

July is pretty hectic for me with vacation and some out of state training. Saturday afternoons always work best for me. Sundays would be my worst. Week nights might work. Who has the hd800 anyways? Wasnt kelvin having problems with his and to send then in or something like that?

$%*&^$*%&^$#%*^&#$%. I'll be out of town Monday 22nd -> Thurs 26th, and Monday 29th -> Thurs July 2nd. So I can't do it unless it's the evening of this weekend or next weekend, or some time from the first weekend of July onwards.

Is there a meet this weekend? I might be able to come but might skip if no HD800 is showing up since it such quick notice. Saw there was already a K1000 vs HD800 meet in Seattle. I know there's not a lot of L3000 users on this site but it would make for a good comparison. I think there's a few people who have heard both already.

Anyway, someone post some dates and times especially if it happening right away.

I guess you wouldn't call it meet since it was just 2 people. A mini-meet perhaps
