Rockbox for iBasso DX50 dual boot with stock firmware

1. Take the update.img out from the Russian zip, system update in Mango
2. Go to recovery (boot with power+vol up)
3. Install rockbox zip

Hi-  Thanks.  No problem installing the .img.  However, after it restarted and I did the Factory Reset, I'm at a loss.

Never mind, I got it.  Just took a bit more poking around and realizing I had to add the zip via external micro card.

hey guys

just about to install rockbox on my dx50 again,
when you install the rockbox zip file do you have to install the whole folder as is
or do you extract first or use the rockbox folder within the zip folder .
there are 3 folders in the zip file , system , data and something else
not sure what to do because i installed it already once before and was has having trouble
finding my music,
i could find the music on the sd card but not the enternal memory .
on my ipod classic (rockboxed) all my music was under files
but that is not the case on the dx50.

regards.....

just finished the install of rb not enough time to make a comparison
but from what i can tell it does indeed sound more neutral than the stock firmware.
i spoke to ibasso asking them when the next firmware was out for release and they
replied" there is a lot of new changes to the new firmware which is why its taking so long.
i wonder if the new firmware will be on par with rockbox? we shall soon see hey.

i hope they can make the necessary changes to there software so people can enjoy
the neutral sound that everyone is striving for in this community .

rockbox is very neutral and very natural sounding to me .
i will do a follow up review of my comparisons very soon ...

good job people .......

it kinda look like an apple. From where I came from, a mango does not resemble the fruit in the boot menu

it's the indian mango :)
