Unfortunately, I don't know about that, but since I live here, I will scope out any new vendors. I know that SoundCAT (who do most of the custom business here in Korea) aren't with ACS, but I'd imagine if ACS partner in Korea, they will do it with SoundCAT who do dozens of custom fittings per week.

That what I thought too, but I didn't ask precisely which company in Korea.

MP sent.

frenchbat, thanks. so ACS T1 orders are not change until it has been finalized?

I'm not sure enough about that, but from what I understood the product has been finalized (Andy reviewed and loved it) and is scheduled to enter production next week. Keeping in mind this is not a huge company, and that changes only concern one of the monitors, I don't think the transition to the "new" model is gonna take that long. It's definitely more an update than a new model.

I think it definitely rounds the sound, if that makes sense. It's as if the recording has been polished in post-production. With the JH13s for example, there's a raw visceral feeling that comes through especially in rock music.

You still get it in the T1, but it's smoother somehow. Gotta be down to the silicon.

On the guinea pig thing - I'll be picking mine up in the middle of March. Quite excited as I'll meet Andy this time.

Well makes sense anyway, since material has some influence anyhow, and your description fits exactly what Andy told me. It's just a different presentation and you probably need to compare both materials to actually feel it, and since it's gonna be my first pair of customs, I should be safe anyway

For the guinea pig thing, it's not like it's a completely new model so it shouldn't be really different from before in terms of reliability. Also, Andy loves it already, which has to mean something

If ACS gonna change the presentation of T1, it a little risk as the current owner may not like the new presentation. I guess it will be a new product.

thanks for the info.

is the product available for the masses? or we have to special order?

Just wait till he release the "Okay, all clear" signal and then order ?

Thats one thing I like about ACS.
Although they are a commercialised company, they do not advertise their products for the sake of sales revenue unlike other companies.
Pre-order period, whut?
Pre-order special, whut ?

But, maybe its just that this is not their company's main revenue, but rather in the ear protection region.

They are just different from other the other companies haha.

I don't know, but I like their current system

Good luck to those who are ordering the new custom, would really like to hear comparison of t2 or t1 against it though.
Gonna be sometime before I am getting mine haha.

Sorry there's a misunderstanding here. When I was talking about different presentation, I was refering to Royhendo's post and to the difference between hard acrylic and silicone moulds.
It doesn't seem like the T1 is gonna be phased-out for a "new" product. As Royhendo pointed out before, only one of the drivers is replaced, so it seems more like an upgrade, and probably a silent one.

@Charlie0904 : Chill out a bit dude

, go out, enjoy life for a week or two and it's gonna be fine. Nobody here as a precise date, and we rely on the info that ACS is giving us out of pure courtesy. We are already lucky to know we'd better wait, and I wouldn't want Andy to be annoyed because the info is out too early, and some people begins to bother about a "special order". You must have some other gear to listen to for the moment isn't it ?

@Junliang : Agreed, ACS is really not whatever commercial company. In all my exchanges with Andy, I could feel he was really excited about his job. And it's amazing how easily he can integrate your experience to advise or offer you some good answer. He's been very helpful and professional with all my questions, and providing with some nice compromise for some choices. So far it has been a great customer experience, and I don't feel like they just want my money.

Here is one of that "huh-ho" moment for me. I assumed only one way of the T1 was going to be updated to new drivers, based on ... your info Royhendo. So I don't know
confused_face.gif

I also assumed ACS would keep the high and low drivers which are giving satisfaction in the T2 and the T1 for now, but I guess I was wrong and I should have said "probably". Only confirmed info is that price stays the same. Sorry guys.

Ok now that I've fessed up, time to get educated. I've been looking for info on the new knowles drivers, but so far found nothing really probing. How many new drivers did Knowles release ?

EDIT : I've just read that ACS use Knowles as well as Sonion drivers, so difficult to know how many drivers will change, without knowing the initial set-up of the T1.

:p
They even carried out R&D, configurations of new drives.. and
These might come out too: iPhone cables for ACS customs. I even heard that he is going to make them detachable(silicon w detachable is a feat fyi, since the silicon is soft, not being able to hold the jack securely)

And all this, and most probably keeping it at the same price ?
I've got nothing to complain

Well I don't know about Iphone cable or detachable cable (Sensaphonics does it now, however ACS isn't very convinced it seems), but price stays the same. That was one of my questions to Andy and it was a yes, so no ambiguity here.

And for R&D, configuration it was definitely implied

All in all, better sound for same price = good deal in my book

Hey guys just thought i would clear a few things up for you. We have launched the new T1 config so all orders as of monday last week i believe are the new config. The press side of things are still being finalised ie the website update etc.

I am am not allowed to say too much due to forum rules etc but we are "looking into" a detachable cable solution
