Really surprised at the Focal's results in that comparison. They were really quite bad, IMO. The L1s were superior on almost every track I listened to and in ergonomics and build quality.

I know there are people asking when is M1 arrive. Well finally the M1 have a release date. In May 2012....... reference below.
 
The pictures looks better than L1, but i do not like on-ear headphone.

This headphone is definitely going on my list. Although I'm not too keen on the brand, if it sounds great then thats all that matters. I wont be using it as a portable though. I wouldn't feel at all comfortable carrying £240 on my head for the world to see. Have there been anymore comparison vs other phones? Especially the constantly recommended D2000 as they cost even more than the denon.

I'm glad you said that, Roma.  I'm working on getting the Z1000 as we speak.  They are both identical in price and seemed like the perfect matchup.

Not sure what amplifier to pair it with though, looking at a Lyr or an Asgard.  Really not sure at all.
